Welcome to the 2024/25 Nashville Symphony Season – Celebrating Giancarlo Guerrero’s last full season as Music Director! Every part of the Classical Series represents a part of Giancarlo’s legacy, from favorite masterpieces showcasing the power, virtuosity, and lyricism of the Orchestra to three live recordings championing new American music. The Orchestra’s versatility will also be on full display in our Pops, Movie, Family, and Jazz Series, in addition to a host of special events.
Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero conducts eight of fifteen Classical Series programs, including Stravinsky’s The Firebird, Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, and Mahler’s Fifth and Eighth Symphonies. He also welcomes a host of returning favorites and new guest artists like Joyce Yang, Gil Shaham, Ray Chen, Inbal Segev, Bang on a Can All-Stars, and Branford Marsalis. More series concerts, featuring guest conductors, will include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony and Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony.
Pops Series
Principal Pops Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez leads five of the Orchestra’s seven Pops Series concerts representing a wide range of artists, genres, and styles. Don't miss Pink Martini, The War and Treaty, Lyle Lovett, and Indigo Girls with your Nashville Symphony and more!
Jazz Series
The ever-eclectic Jazz Series returns, featuring icons Herbie Hancock and Arturo Sandoval, among others.
Amazon Movie Series
Experience movies as never before when the Orchestra performs the scores live-to-film. Join us for favorites like Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, The Princess Bride, and more.
The Ann and Monroe Carell Family Trust Family Series
Introduce the young listeners in your life to the orchestra in a range of programs, including Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf. Come early for pre-concert activities the whole family can enjoy, including a hands-on Instrument Petting Zoo.
Can't Miss Concerts
Additional symphony concerts include evenings with John Paul White, Violent Femmes, Itzhak Perlman, Girl Named Tom, and Leslie Odom Jr. And one-night-only events without orchestra include Dionne Warwick, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Drew & Ellie Holcomb, Kodo, and Silkroad Ensemble with Rhiannon Giddens.
